Mount de Sales just finished their graduation Friday night. The kids were great and everyone seemed happy to walk across the stage. We are looking forward to this week’s 8th Grade Closing Mass at St. Joseph Church.
Then it is First Presbyterian Day School turn for graduations. This coming Thursday (May 23rd) is 5th grade and this Saturday the 25th is the seniors turn.
We will also have more pictures posted on our photocart
Be sure to check them out also!!
Now we are getting geared up for the class of 2014!!
On Sunday morning, Annie M. Brooks, mother of Andrew Brooks, went to Heaven to be with Our Heavenly Father. Please keep our family in your prayers as we go through this difficult time. We are continuing to work as much as we can but our hearts are heavy but joyful that Annie/Anne is no longer in pain from colorectal cancer. She fought a good fight for a year and a half, along with a heart attack and stroke during that time period. She must be overjoyed at meeting Kayde, her first great grandchild, for the first time and reuniting with Henry, her husband, and Margaret, her daughter. Anne was a wonderful person who touched everyone’s lives with her generosity and kindness. ~Chris Brooks
We were honored to photograph the Induction Ceremony for the Cavalier Sports Hall of Fame. Check out the event here!
The Cavalier Sports Hall of Fame has been established to recognize and permanently record the exceptional achievements of Cavalier athletes and supporters. The Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have had a significant impact on the school’s long history of interscholastic competition. As athletes, coaches, administrators, and contributors to the development of the Mount de Sales athletic program, their accomplishments have brought pride and distinction to our school and community.
The Hall of Fame provides a link between past and current generations of student-athletes and encourages current student-athletes to embrace the many opportunities available to them through team work, determination, and dedication.
Through more than a century of athletic participation, a lasting competitive spirit and sense of fair play have led to great success on the playing fields. Mount de Sales graduates proudly boast that “It’s great to be a Cavalier!”
Wow!!! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted on the blog. Here are just a few things that have been going on.
Heart Bypass Surgery update: I recently got a good bill of health from Dr. Joe Johnson. The imperfection on my lung is gone. I do still have some blockage in the carotid artery but it hasn’t worsened in the past year. Dr. Johnson wants me to exercise and/or walk at least 5 days a week. Continuing to eat healthy and exercising will go a long way in helping me to lose my holiday weight too.
FPD & MDS parents and students:
We have been busy with Winter sports and have a lot of images online now at www.abphotos.com/photocart Check them out.
Continuing Education/Duck Portraits: Chris and I just returned from a great photography conference in Florida. We can’t wait to implement what we learned. We are most excited about our upcoming Duck Portraits. Watch here and/or Facebook for more information.
