Community Foundation

I got to photography a big news event here in Macon last week. As most of you know when the Mother’s Day storm came thru it left a lot of damage.

Grainger, a local business-to-business distributor of facilities maintenance supplies, contributed $50,000 to the Community Foundation of Central Georgia (CFCG) to help small businesses in Macon and the surrounding areas rebuild. CFCG will administer the funds through a grant process open to locally operated and independent small businesses.

, president of the Community Foundation, said locally owned businesses that promise to reopen and remain open at least one year can apply for the money. Dennis has compiled what she says is probably an incomplete list of 25 locally owned companies harmed by the storms.
