The varsity boys soccer team clinched the GISA AAA state championship with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Stratford Academy. It was a well fought game that went down to the final minute. The team ended the season with a record of 24-0 way to go boys!
The varsity girls soccer team came up short in a hard fought match against Stratford in the GISA AAA state championship game losing 7-2. They finished the season 21-4-1. Congratulations to both teams for a memorable season!
FPD won the GHSA girls soccer state championship over Paideia. The 3-2 home victory gave FPD their first GHSA state championship in any sport.
FPD built a 2-0 lead in the match on a pair of goals from senior striker Rebecca Miller. Junior Melissa Hash assisted both goals.
The Vikings defense had only allowed 1 goal to a GHSA team this season and the lead was an important one.
Paideia would answer with 2 consecutive goals during a 10-minute stretch to tie the game at 2-2. Sophomore Atalia Ramirez one touched a Paideia defelection into the upper corner of the goal with less than 3 minutes left to put FPD up 3-2.
The left-footed shot from 25 yards out was one of the true highlights of the 2011 season. FPD held the lead for the final few minutes and won the match 3-2. FPD was undefeated in GHSA play and finished with a record of 21-1.
The total goals allowed this season (5) sets a school record. The girls also set a record with 140 goals scored.
The 2011 seniors are Katie Scott, JoJo Murphy, Caitlyn Bowman and Rebecca Miller.

Mount de Sales held their prom at the Cox Capital theater in downtown Macon on April 10th. The theater was nicely decorated and friends and family showed up for senior lead out. After lead out the kids danced a lot to the music and everyone looked like they had a fun time.
First Presbyterian Day School held their prom at the Goodwill center in Macon on April 16th. The center was decorated nicely with two big backdrops hanging to separate the lead out room from the dance area. After leadout we took a photo of all the seniors and then the juniors. The parents stayed for the first senior dance and then the kids were left to enjoy the live band for the rest of the evening.
We now have both lead out photos on line at www.abphotos.com We also have some of the casual photos online also. Check them out!
First Presbyterian Day School had their annual spirit week this week and I think the students had a lot of fun. The Sophomores were this years winners with the Juniors coming in a close second!
