First Birthdays — Macon Children Photographer

We have had a lot of first birthdays here at the studio.  I enjoy watching and capturing the kids as they grow!  They grow up so fast even to me.  Here are a few images from the last few.  If you have a newborn it is never too late to start capturing them as they grow.  The first year they change so much and how wonderful it is to have images to remind you how they were.

These were so much fun to photograph.  After the first year we recommend that you at least have them photographed at 18 months, when they are two and then every year around their birthday.  Remember they only turn one once in their lives so come and let us capture it for you.

With limited sessions this year, please be prepared to reserve and pay for your package at the time of booking so we can focus on the kids when they come in to see Honey Bunny.  Call 478-744-0990 to make your reservations.

(Yes, this is the 3rd year for Honey Bunny.  She is looking forward to seeing all the kids again!)

SYNC – Macon Senior Pictures

Chris and I just returned from Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida after attending the  Senior Youth National Conference.

It was a great learning experience for both of us.  We got to work with and learn from photographers as Kirk Voclain,  Gary & Pam Box,  Scott Crosby, Kay Eskridge, Aaron Adams, and Lane Crabtree.   We also got to work with Julieanne Kost who was Fantastic!  She knows photoshop CS4!  She showed us so many tips and tricks in photoshop that I can’t remember them all.

This seminar was to learn more on high school senior pictures, and also youth/babies pictures.  Chris took a lot of notes and I did too.  So be looking for some changes here at Andrew Brooks Photography within the next month or so as we will be adding new products that we feel you will enjoy and also some new props.

We also purchased a new background that should arrive within 3 weeks and we will be looking for some models to test it out for samples to post.

We hope you stay tuned!

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone and looking forward to 2010!

We will be having some specials throughout the year so check back to see what is going on.

First will be Bunny Days starting in mid March until the first weekend of April.

High School Seniors starting in June for the 2011 class, can you believe that?  We are looking for some seniors from the class of 2011 that go to Jones County, Westside High, Mary Persons, and Rutland High to be an ambassador for their school.  Call us at 744-0990 for more information.  Deadline is April 10th.

200 year old highchair

On Saturday, not only did I get to photograph the Ryan twins from Savannah once again but I got to be a part of making a memory of a family heirloom.  Mom brought with her the Family highchair.   For the last 200 YEARS every child in the family has been photographed in this chair, including Mom!  Here are a few from the chair session.  Notice the legs and the back of the chair and you can see how much wear there is on the chair.  I always enjoy watching our clients grow, and the Ryan twins have done just that.  They are getting so big!

We will have more images from their session on our website later this week.
